Remote viewing Tibetan monks on 2012

Author: markw  //  Category: Metaphysics

Remote viewing is nothing new in Tibetan monasteries. For thousands of years remote viewing in the middle of other spiritual activities have dominated Tibetan culture. What some Indian tourists came to learn from a few Tibetan monasteries under the current Chinese rule is extremely alarming and fascinating. According to these tourists remote viewers are seeing world powers in the course of self-destruction. They also see that the world will not be destroyed. Between now and 2012 the world super powers will continue to engage in regional wars. Terrorism and covert war will be the main problem. In world politics something will happen in and around 2010. At that time the world powers will threaten to destroy each other.

Between 2010 and 2012, the whole world will get polarized and prepare for the ultimate dooms day. Heavy political maneuvers and negotiations will take place with little progress. In 2012, the world will start plunging into a total destructive nuclear war. And at that time something remarkable will happen, says, Buddhist monk of Tibet. Supernatural divine powers will intervene. The destiny of the world is not to self-destruct at this time. More

Thousands of Dutch prepare for 2012

Author: markw  //  Category: Metaphysics, News

Source: AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, June 23 (UPI) — Thousands of people in the Netherlands say they expect the world to end in 2012, and many say they are taking precautions to prepare for the apocalypse. The Dutch-language de Volkskrant newspaper said it spoke to thousands of believers in the impending end of civilization, and while theories on the supposed catastrophe varied, most tied the 2012 date to the end of the Mayan calendar, Radio Netherlands reported Monday. De Volkskrant said many of those interviewed are stocking up on emergency supplies, including life rafts and other equipment. Some who spoke to the newspaper were optimistic about the end of civilization.

“You know, maybe it’s really not that bad that the Netherlands will be destroyed,” Petra Faile said. “I don’t like it here anymore. Take immigration, for example. They keep letting people in. And then we have to build more houses, which makes the Netherlands even heavier. The country will sink even lower, which will make the flooding worse.”

The $10,000-a-Month Psychic

Author: markw  //  Category: Metaphysics, People

Newsweek
When business people need a crystal ball, they turn to consultant Laura Day, the ‘intuitionist.’

It’s impossible to objectively judge psychic powers. Are psychics just good listeners who pick up enough clues from their clients to provide seemingly insightful answers? Are they making lucky guesses? “It’s kind of a dirty secret,” Day says of business people who use psychics like herself. She declines to identify most of her clients, and almost all who spoke to NEWSWEEK also requested anonymity out of concern for their reputations.

Day is one of a small but expanding cadre of corporate psychic consultants—the professionalized face of an occupation better known for hokey headscarves and crystal balls. Rebranded as “intuitionists” or “mentalists”—terms more palatable to mainstream America—psychic advisers in recent years have been crossing over into the world of legitimate business, where they are used by decision makers in law, finance and entertainment looking for an edge in a down economy. “I specialize in nonbelievers,” says Day, referring to her roster of “red-meat-eating, Barneys-shopping, Type A personalities.”

For a flat rate of $10,000 a month, Day’s insight is available for rent. She has about five monthly clients at a time, offering them unlimited 24-hour access. She works from her airy Tribeca apartment, fielding calls while juggling domestic life as the mother of a 16-year-old boy, whose friends are often over in packs. The commotion is helpful, she says, allowing her to keep her “rational mind busy” while she picks up on things from “left field.” (Though she admits her teenager can be psychically distracting as well: “I don’t want to see what he did with that girl until 2 a.m.,” she says. “But I can.”) In a typical call early last year, a prominent Wall Street money manager asked whether he should pull out of a risky, multimillion-dollar energy deal or let his money ride. “My gut,” Day recalls saying, “is that you’re not going to get your return.” The money manager listened and yanked his investment, she says, just before the deal nose-dived. 1657 days for the age of transition to begin on 2012

“The Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility. The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear.” –3rd Rare White Buffalo Born on Wisconsin Farm More

Realize that our thoughts emit electromagnetic fields and attract or repel others. Our thoughts also draw events to us that occur in our lives. Now you can see what those magnetic fields look like.

Scientists from NASA’s Space Sciences Laboratory excitedly describe their discoveries. Natural magnetic fields are revealed as chaotic, ever-changing geometries as scientists from NASA’s Space Sciences Laboratory excitedly describe their discoveries. The secret lives of invisible magnetic fields are revealed as chaotic, ever-changing geometries.

All action takes place around NASA’s Space Sciences Laboratory, UC Berkeley, to recordings of space scientists describing their discoveries. Actual VLF audio recordings control the evolution of the fields as they delve into our inaudible surroundings, revealing recurrent ‘whistlers’ produced by fleeting electrons. Are we observing a series of scientific experiments, the universe in flux, or a documentary of a fictional world? More

A Superhighway to Bliss

Leslie Kaufman
Jill Bolte Taylor was a neuroscientist working at Harvard’s brain research center when she experienced nirvana. But she did it by having a stroke. On Dec. 10, 1996, Dr. Taylor, then 37, woke up in her apartment near Boston with a piercing pain behind her eye. A blood vessel in her brain had popped. Within minutes, her left lobe — the source of ego, analysis, judgment and context — began to fail her. Oddly, it felt great.

The incessant chatter that normally filled her mind disappeared. Her everyday worries — about a brother with schizophrenia and her high-powered job — untethered themselves from her and slid away. Her perceptions changed, too. She could see that the atoms and molecules making up her body blended with the space around her; the whole world and the creatures in it were all part of the same magnificent field of shimmering energy.

“My perception of physical boundaries was no longer limited to where my skin met air,” she has written in her memoir, “My Stroke of Insight,” which was just published by Viking. More

Astronauts and The ‘Overview Effect’

In February, 1971, Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell experienced the little understood phenomenon sometimes called the “Overview Effect”. He describes being completely engulfed by a profound sense of universal connectedness. Without warning, he says, a feeing of bliss, timelessness, and connectedness began to overwhelm him.

He describes becoming instantly and profoundly aware that each of his constituent atoms were connected to the fragile planet he saw in the window and to every other atom in the Universe. He described experiencing an intense awareness that Earth, with its humans, other animal species, and systems were all one synergistic whole. He says the feeling that rushed over him was a sense of interconnected euphoria. He was not the first—nor the last—to experience this strange “cosmic connection”.

Rusty Schweikart experienced it on March 6th 1969 during a spacewalk outside his Apollo 9 vehicle: “When you go around the Earth in an hour and a half, you begin to recognize that your identity is with that whole thing. That makes a change…it comes through to you so powerfully that you’re the sensing element for Man.” Schweikart, similar to what Mitchell experienced, describes intuitively sensing that everything is profoundly connected.

Leading astrologers: Obama destined to be president, fear for his safety

Seven leading astrologers consulted their charts and came to the unanimous conclusion, which they shared Tuesday at the United Astrology Conference in Denver. Although the crowd of several hundred cheered at the forecast, the seven panelists shared a sense of foreboding.

“There are things that are going to happen in the next couple of months that could turn the game into something different than we think it is right now,” said Shelley Ackerman, a New York City astrologer who appears frequently on television and radio shows.

A time of upheaval is coming, they agreed. Election Day - Nov. 4 - will put Saturn in opposition to Uranus, meaning the two planets are aligned at opposite ends of the zodiac. Saturn symbolizes experience and the establishment. Uranus is the planet of change and youth. When they are opposed, the country sees a period of “revolutionary fervor,” said Raymond Merriman, the panel’s moderator. The last Saturn-Uranus opposition was from 1965-67, a time of drastic cultural change. Read more

Consider the nature of current global events: a volcano in Chile, the huge death toll of a 100,000 or more from Burma’s catastrophic cyclone (those lucky enough to survive the catastrophe face the threat of death by disease and hunger), the danger of a looming worldwide bird flu epidemic, Asia’s struggle to prevent billions from starving, and the recent spread of intestinal virus infection in the eastern Chinese province of Anhui. Doesn’t this all bring to the foreground The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse mentioned in Revelations?—War, Famine, Pestilence and Death.

On near-death experiences

Heather Sloan and Gordon Allen: Near-Death Experience

Years ago, I read Raymond Moody Jr’s book, “Life After Life”, and found the subject fascinating. Raymond Moody was both a psychologist and medical doctor. In 1992 his book was made into a film for which Moody won a bronze medal in the Human Relations Category at the New York Film Festival.

Elisabeth Kϋbler-Ross, Swiss-born psychiatrist, is another writer in the field of death, dying and transition. She was the author of several books including: “On Death and Dying”.

According to a Gallup poll, approximately eight million Americans claim to have had a near-death experience in which people describe being detached from their body, feeling serene and rushing through a tunnel toward a light brighter than they have ever seen. People describe communicating by thoughts to other beings they interpret as a deity or spiritual presence.

Here, I’ve culled two near-death videos from the web I thought interesting. Whether you belief or disbelieve, there’s an undeniable sincerity in the voices of those who describe their experiences.

Will the world end in 2012?

Author: markw  //  Category: Metaphysics, Video

“There are prophecies and oracles from around the world that all seem to point to December 21, 2012 as doomsday. The ancient Mayan Calendar, the medieval predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization [or significant change of civilization]. A new technology called “The Web-Bot Project” makes massive scans of the internet as a means of forecasting the future… and has turned up the same dreaded date: 2012. Skeptics point to a long history of ‘Failed Doomsdays’, but many oracles of doom throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record. As the year 2012 ticks ever closer we’ll speculate if there are any reasons to believe these doomsayers.”

Watch and decide for yourself if it is true.

Oprah Discuses “The Secret” on Larry King

Author: markw  //  Category: Metaphysics, Video

Oprah discusses how a philosophy on the law of attraction covered in the commercially successful book, The Secret, changed her life. There was also a film based on the book. The Secret is a Pop culture version of the Jane Robert’s books published in the 1970s which gave birth to many popular western authors like Louise Hay, who claims to have cured herself of cancer and believes–like many who share this belief system–that you, and you alone create your own reality. In other words, we are never victims and nothing happens to us by chance–we draw life experiences to us.
