(Reuters) - Starbucks Corp said on Tuesday that it would cut 1,000 jobs as it tries to overhaul its business, and the head of its international business is leaving the company. Martin Coles will move from the role of chief operating officer to take over the post of president of Starbucks Coffee International. He will succeed Jim Alling, who is leaving the company, Chief Executive Howard Schultz said in an e-mail to Starbucks employees that was made public by the company.
